This is the ISBN for my college Spanish II textbook. It's pretty dry. The book in front of me is a hard cover book.
Sometimes they change them when they issue an updated edition and sometimes they don't. There isn't anything that makes it particularly different, except that this edition was published in 1990 so it is an older book. ISBNs are tricky things.
It is your average College Spanish Level II textbook. This ISBN: 0030233283 I think Amazon might have posted the same reviews for the updated and older versions of this book since all the other reviews refer to a CD-rom version. So, please contact the seller before ordering to make sure you are getting what you want.
It isn't especially engaging. I assume that the newer editions probably have better pictures and illustrations and likely different formatting for the lessons and text.
I was so disappointed with the quality of this product. I considered returning it, but I don't know if it's worth the bother. the edges are all bent, the binding is in shambles and the book itself is dirty. I totally regret this purchase, I should have just ordered a new one (which wasn't even that more expensive).
The CD-Rom just comes with the book. I have used this book and the supplementary CD-Rom. I just wanted to comment on the previous reviews. It does have the same ISBN# because it comes packaged with the book. The book is fine. It is a printed book. I think I made my point. There is a real book.
I am as well deeply disappointed that this item's description can have the term "Hard Cover" listed in it. I have registered for an Intermediate Spanish course, and now I am still left without a book for the course. It is rather difficult to follow along in class when your textbook is nothing more than a round disc.
(I know it says in the fine print that this is a CD-ROM. Too bad I never got a book.
What I am upset about is that Amazon describes this as a "hardcover". Where I come from "hardcover" means I should have received a book.
I just received this "book" and am so far unable to comment on its content. It is the required text book for the course.
What I got was a CD Rom with nothing even remotely resembling a book. I bought this for my daughter who is enrolled in an intermediate Spanish course.
Someone at Amazon should review the on-line description for this item and change it from "harcover" to "CD-ROM". But, I thought that meant it just comes with a bonus CD-ROM).
